All throughout the world, I meet people everywhere I go. One trait that the majority of these people share are that they are winning at life, mostly in the field of business. I never set out to find these folks, but somehow we find each other. Ernad is someone I had the chance to get to spend a lot of time with and get to know really well. Now, I’d like to share part of his story with you.

When I met Ernad last year, I was renting the apartment underneath his own personal residence; so you can imagine we would have many opportunities for talking. After getting to know Ernad pretty well, he told me about the future business plans that he had. He is a business owner who has experience in real estate, politics, marketing, advertising, and design, but always has more vision for the future. As such, he took me on a walk around town one night and explained in detail some of these plans.

During our walk, Ernad pointed out a shop in a prime part of town, specifically Trgovke 11, Baščaršija, Sarajevo. He explained how he was in talks to take ownership of the lot and convert it into a nargila (also known as shisha or hookah) bar. I’ve heard people talk about their dreams before, but this was much more than that; you could envision what he was saying and really feel the passion behind the words.

Fast forward to 20 May 2015. It is opening day at Selfie Bar Nargila. Foot traffic is high. Friends, family, and new customers are all visiting. People are having fun. Ratings are high. I am so happy for my friend and his continued success in every business he creates.
